BMW M2 Performance Parts Include a New Exhaust and Height-Adjustable Springs

It's only been a few weeks since the 2023 M2 made its debut, and BMW is keeping the momentum going with a line of M Performance parts for the refreshed coupe. Here’s everything you need to know about these new parts for the fan-favorite M car.

Starting with the larger part offerings, BMW M has developed a new exhaust system for the M2 that shaves 17 pounds off of the stock unit. This is accomplished by utilizing stainless-steel pipes and a titanium muffler. BMW says that the setup features electronically controlled flaps, which allows customers to be a bit more discerning with the amount of inline-six sound coming from their ride. The automaker says the upgraded exhaust will bring "racing car acoustics," which is a delightfully German way of saying it sounds like a race car. There is no word as to whether or not the system will bring any sort of power bump over the standard unit, but the weight savings might be enough for some buyers. Speaking of the exhaust, customers will also be able to purchase both titanium and carbon-fiber exhaust tips to add a bit more visual flair.

For those looking to get the most out of their M2 on the race track, the all-new M Performance suspension setup adds height adjustable springs at both axles. The set allows owners to lower the M2 by as much as half an inch. To further enhance the stance, M Performance is also offering forged wheels measuring 20-inches up front and 21-inches in the rear. The wheels can be had in either the M Frozen Gold Bronze of M Jet Black finishes.

Other exterior tweaks include a M-branded tow strap, as well as a carbon fiber body kit, which brings a reworked front splitter, front intake inserts, new side skirts, and a rear spoiler and diffuser combo. The carbon fiber theme continues with the interior accessories, which include items like seat-back covers, as well as shift paddles and door sill plates. Customers can also purchase an Alcantara and carbon interior trim package, as well as Alcantara-upholstered knee pads.
